Disabled people
The fort Castellum Hoge Woerd is fully accessible for disabled people, the fort is 100% wheelchair friendly. Disabled parking spaces are available, and there are lifts and adjusted toilets available in the building.

Group visits
Museum Hoge Woerd organises many hundreds of guided tours and school visits each year. To ensure an optimal museum experience and/or guided tour, we kindly request that all groups of 15 or more people register in advance by sending an email to museum@castellumhogewoerd.nl. The museum charges a modest fee for group tours and school visits to cover the cost of tour guides/attendants and materials.

Donations
Thanks to our large team of volunteers, admission to permanent displays at Museum Hoge Woerd is free of charge. This fits with the mission of Castellum Hoge Woerd to be a site that the public can explore as often and extensively as they like. To facilitate this mission over the longer term, the museum relies on donations. Your voluntary contribution of €3 will enable us to maintain this unique heritage and the displays.

Children and supervision
The museum integrates a diversity of applications and installations to create an interactive and hands-on experience for visitors. This applies particularly to our ‘3,000 Years of Life and Labour’ exhibit. Partly for this reason, children aged 16 and under are only allowed entry in the company of an adult (different rules apply for scheduled educational activities). We prefer that younger visitors to the ‘Windows onto the Fort’ exhibit be accompanied by an adult as well. Museum Hoge Woerd accepts no liability for irresponsible conduct on the ramparts or in the fort.
